Ladybug Rocks
Looking for a fun springtime activity with you littles? Has your kid collected too many rocks while going on nature walks, and you have no idea what to do with them? Here’s a cute ladybug-themed craft for your young foragers!
Supplies Needed:
Round Rocks of assorted sizes
Black and Red Washable, Non-Toxic Paint
Paint Cups
Sponge Brushes
Wooden Dowels
Some sort of Table Cover (Paper, Plastic Wrap, Cardboard, etc.)
Prep for the Adults:
Pour the black and red paint in different cups. It’s fun to have different shades of red!
Step-by-Step:
Set up a safe space for a messy project!
The sponge brushes are used to create an even coat of red paint on one side of the rocks.
A clean sponge brush can be used to smooth out the paint to get rid of any unwanted paint globs.
The back side of the sponge brush, or some wooden dowels can be used to make the dots on the back of the ladybug.
The sponge brush can be used again to paint one corner of the rock black to create the ladybug’s head.
A perfect activity for your kids, and a perfect spring garden decoration for you!
