Cardboard Juices

I’m always looking for a creative way to recycle cardboard packaging, and this project is the cutest way to use up some leftover trash. Kiddos love to create and play with this colorful craft!

Supplies Used:

  • Non-toxic Paint

  • Paper plate or Paint Palette

  • Cardstock

  • Crayons or Markers

  • Non-toxic Liquid Glue

  • Straws

  • Paintbrush

  • Egg Carton

  • Scissors

  • Cardboard Rolls

  • Table Mat or Cover

Prep for the Adults:

Precut your egg carton into 2x2 squares.

Prepare your little artist’s paint palette with all the colors they want!

Depending on the age of the artist, you may want to precut the labels for the “juices” as well.

Step-by-Step:

Have fun customizing your labels however you want! We used crayons, but you can use whatever drawing supply you’d like.

Paint your 2x2 egg carton piece something bright and colorful! This is our cup holder.

Of course, paint the cardboard rolls bright and colorful too! These are the base of our juices.

Use liquid glue to stick the labels onto the middle of the painted cardboard rolls.

Cut your straws small enough to fit, and glue those in too.

Once everything’s dry, you have the perfect play-food juices!

Have fun with this colorful craft!
